Moving into October and the Autumn can be risky when it comes to the weather. On one hand you can have good weather and lovely light like we did with Boya & Xiaoyuan and Hayley & James. On the other hand there is the chance of rain and unfortunately that’s what we got with Sammy and Tyren.

Fear not though, when you have a venue like The Old Vicarage which occupies a beautiful building just outsite Christchurch and on the edge of the New Forest, which has been beautifully decorated and a you have a crop of wedding guests who are up for a good time no matter what, then you know it’s going to be a good day. My life as the photographer is always going to be easier on days like that, no matter what the weather.

It also helps that Sammy was one of the best prepared brides that I’ve worked with!

By offering everything for the wedding under one roof, The Old Vicarage is a great option for a wedding. It also means that I get to work with some great wedding suppliers, like Dorset Dub Hire were providing the transport and Chris Piercy providing entertainment.

So, fear not, an Autumn wedding will mean beautiful photos, no matter what the weather. If you’re planning an autumn wedding or are getting married at The Old Vicarage then I’d love to hear from you!
