As we enter September and wring the last out of the summer, it seems like the perfect time to go back to a recent wedding shoot for Bonnie and Ferg at Sandbanks Beach in Poole.

Bonnie and Ferg were married abroad but didn’t have a wedding photographer so were never truly happy with their photos. I jumped at the chance to help them create the photos that they deserved to have all along. Although we weren’t able to go back to Jamaica to recreate their wedding, here in Poole we do pretty well when it comes to beaches. We headed down to Sandbanks Beach on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks back in mid August and set up in the dunes, with the Purbeck Hills and Old Harry Rocks forming the perfect back drop.

Even on a busy day in the summer holidays you can still find a quiet corner in this stunning part of the world although by the time we left the pier there was another newlywed couple waiting to have their photos taken. With scenery like this available on the Dorset coast it’s little surprise that so many people choose a Sandbanks Wedding.
